What data we process
- Account data such as email address and authentication identifiers.
- User content you intentionally create, including text entries, transcribed voice content, memory cards, feedback, and reminder settings.
- Technical data needed to operate the service, such as device push token, timezone, app telemetry about failures or successful actions, and legal consent timestamps.
Why we process data
- To provide the core service, including synchronization, search, retrieval, reminders, and account security.
- To improve parsing quality, reliability, and abuse prevention.
- To maintain legal records that show when mandatory service documents were accepted.
Voice and AI processing
Nothing is recorded without an explicit user action. If voice capture is used, audio or its transcription may be processed on our backend to produce the requested memory result. AI-assisted processing can be disabled in parts of the application where such control is offered.
Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may use infrastructure and service providers strictly to host, deliver, secure, and operate Recora. They process data on our instructions to the extent needed for the service.
Retention
Account data and user content are retained while the account remains active, unless earlier deletion is requested and completed. Legal consent evidence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for compliance and dispute handling.
User rights

- You can export your data from the app where available.
- You can request deletion of your account and related personal data.
- You can contact support regarding correction or privacy questions.
Cross-border processing
Your data may be processed in countries where our infrastructure or service providers operate. We use reasonable contractual and organizational safeguards for such transfers.
Children
Recora is not intended for children under 13, and you must not use the service if you are not legally allowed to consent in your jurisdiction.
Changes
When this policy changes materially, we may request renewed acceptance in the app. The version and effective date above identify the current text.
